Welcome to TBDF Connects Minimize

The TriBoro Development Forum (TBDF) is an alliance representing the boroughs of Braddock, North Braddock, Rankin, and Swissvale to work together on issues common to all four communities.  Residents and representatives from local organizations meet regularly to collaborate on activities that strengthen the constituent communities and the entire TBDF area.

Residents, government, social service, cultural, educational, recreational, religious, and business sectors are all represented in TBDF.  Most people involved in TBDF either live or work in one of its communities, but anyone who feels they have a stake in the communities is welcome to join in.

The TBDF Area

Gateway and Wayfinding Signs Project

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

To promote the TBDF area’s many assets, a gateway and wayfinding signs project is being developed.

The input of residents, business owners, their employees, and visitors was gathered to get a better idea of what people think will enhance the TriBoro area’s image and make the sign system most useful.

PROJECT GOALS

1.                  Articulation of TBDF community’s future vision and their “public face” to visitors, focusing on community assets, institutions, and amenities

2.                  Design, produce, and install gateway and wayfinding signs

3.                  Enhance the image of TBDF communities and make travel to the area and throughout the area easier and more interesting for visitors

TBDF SUPPORT

Public safety review, zoning matters, and site control will be facilitated by TBDF. Each local municipality will be engaged in selecting final design elements and placement.  The municipalities are already in support of the project but will need to review specifics when they are developed.

PROPOSALS ARE DUE BY 4:00 PM ON FEBRUARY 29, 2008
